Rules of Origin Product Specific Rules

This page is accessed via Master Data > Power Data > Rules of Origins > Rules of Origins Product Specific Rules.

Use this page to create rules of origin that are applicable for specific products. These rules will be used at the classification code level or a range of codes.

Adding a Product Specific Rule

1. Enter a unique identifier in the Rules of Origin ID field.
2. Enter the sequence number in which these rules will be applied in the Sequence Number field.
3. Enter a short name for the rules in the Short Name field.
4. Select a domain in which the rules will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
5. Enter product classification codes in the Start Classification Code and the End Classification Code fields. The rules will be applied to the products having the codes mentioned in these fields.
6. Select the Ex check box.
7. Enter a suffix in the Suffix field to specify a sub-division of the rules.
8. Enter an attribute of the rules in the Attribute fields.
9. Enter the code that is used to refer to the rules externally in the External Reference Code field.
10. Enter an expression in the Expression field.
11. Click Validate to validate the expression entered.
12. In the Description section, do the following:
    1. Enter an ID in the Language ID field.
    2. Enter a description of the rules in the Text field.
    3. Click Save.
13. Click Finished.
