Compare Modeling Scenario Input

This page is accessed via Logistics Network Modeling > Modeling Scenario > Actions. Click Compare Modeling Scenario Input.

The Compare Modeling Scenario Input screen allows you to select multiple scenarios and perform the input comparison on all selected scenarios. The different scenarios display side by side so you can compare the changes.

The metrics captured in the screen include the scenario header attributes as well as the data rules to be applied and the number of objects modified.

Input data changes for scenarios are usually performed by using data rules and/or scenario delta changes. You can view and compare the data changes in all selected scenarios using this action. They are displayed on a new screen when you click Scenario Data Changes.

Scenario Data Changes

You can search the data changes based on the object types (such as order release, order movement, itinerary ), column names and/or object IDs.

To view the data changes,

  1. Select an Object Type.
  2. If you selected an Object Type of ORDER_RELEASE, you see the Change Type drop down with the options of:
    • Update
    • Insert: If an object has multiple inserts for the same scenario each insert is enclosed in curly brackets. For example, two inserts: one inserting 10 new orders and the second inserting 15 new orders and changing Splittable to N on all 15 orders is shown as {NUMBER_OF_OBJECTS: 10} {"IS_SPLITTABLE":"N", NUMBER_OF_OBJECTS: 15}.
    • Delete: If an if an object is deleted as part of a scenario, a Y is displayed in the appropriate cell.
  3. Optionally, select a Column Name.
  4. Optionally, enter an Object ID.
  5. Click Search.

The data changes are shown in a table and include the modified object IDs, the affected column names, the original value in that column corresponding to the object and the modified values for that column in each scenario selected. If no value is displayed for the scenario, then the column corresponding to that object ID is not modified for that particular scenario.
