Load Point Penalty Matrix Detail

This is accessed via Shipment Management > Power Data > Location> Load Point Penalty Matrix. Click the Penalty tab. This page allows you to enter the penalties that are used to determine how to consolidate same-bundle orders onto shipments.

Defining a Load Point Penalty Matrix Detail Setup

  1. Enter a Load Point 1 on the grid from the drop-down list.
  2. Enter a Load Point 2 on the grid from the drop-down list.
  3. Enter a Penalty value indicating the relative undesirability of combining orders from these two load points. The Container Optimization logic will prefer to combine orders for load points that have lower penalties.

Note: A penalty value of 1000 or more indicates that orders from these two load points should never be consolidated onto the same shipment. If you have entered a penalty value for load point A and load point B, there is no need to enter a penalty value for the reciprocal load point B and load point A.

  4. Click Save.

You can not edit the grid but can add or delete entries back if you wish to edit the Penalty. While selecting the load points for Load Point 1 and Load Point 2 you can not add the same pair of load points in the grid i.e Load Point 1 and Load Point 2 should be distinct. In case you forget to select any of the load points while adding the record to the grid, appropriate pop-up message will be displayed.

Note: You can edit the records in Load Point 1 and Load Point 2 added for the first time.
