Task-Based Putaway Setup Guide

You can perform task based putaway via PUTAWAY_CART task type during the RF Putaway process. This task type lets you handle multiple LPN simultaneously.

to enable and configure this feature:

  • Go to TaskTypeView UI > access the PUTAWAY_CART task type to enable the Build Putaway Cart RF Transaction.
  • Navigate to Configuration > Task Types and select PUTAWAY_CART for multi-LPN putaway tasks.
  • Navigate to Task Creation Template and select Putaway as the template type.
  • Set up task settings for PUTAWAY_CART by configuring Ordering Criteria and Zone Movement Rules.

Task Creation Template: Putaway

The Putaway Task Creation Template helps generate tasks for putaway carts, improving task prioritization and organization.

To Define Ordering Criteria:

  1. Navigate to Task Creation Template > Putaway.
  2. Select Order and click Ordering Criteria.
  3. Use Sort By and Order By columns to set task sequencing.

Note:
  • Avoid specifying Break By Quantity, Break By Weight, or Break By Volume to prevent system errors.
  • Configure fields like Priority, Create Held, and Destination Zone as needed.

Build Putaway Cart Compatibility

Define filtering rules for LPNs in the Build Putaway Cart Compatibility Rule UI.

To Define Compatibility Rules:

  1. Go to Build Putaway Cart Compatibility Rule UI.
  2. Set filtering criteria like Company, Facility, Rule Name, and Rule Description.
  3. Define Sequence Number (required) and Matching Column (editable dropdown).
Note: If no compatibility rules are set, manual task creation rules must be configured.

RF Putaway Cart Process

The RF Build Putaway Cart screen automates tasks and improves accuracy by applying compatibility rules during LPN scanning.

New RF-Text Modules for Putaway Operations

You can use the following two RF-Text modules to improve putaway efficiency:

  1. Build Putaway Cart Module
  2. Putaway Cart Module
  3. Module: rf.inbound.cwrfputawaycart

RF Putaway Cart Configuration

The rf.inbound.cwrfbuildputawaycart configuration integrates into RF Receiving Shipment and RF Receiving Load screens, offering flexibility during receiving operations.

Steps:

  1. Set the Putaway Type based on the recalculate-putaway-type parameter.
  2. Ensure compatibility and task assignment, with the system auto-populating the LPN# as the cart number.
