Product Description:

Oracle Fusion (Engagement Cloud) Omnichannel Framework provides automated assignment and notification of work to agents that have made themselves present, available to receive new work on the available channels and also have the capacity to take additional work.

Agents set their presence via the user profile Settings and Action menu. They can set the presence to Available or Busy
The Omnichannel toolbar is where agents are able to toggle their availability to receive new work for each communication channel
Administrators set the maximum number of interaction types each agent can consecutively work via the Manage Capacities user interface

The Engagement Cloud MCA (Multichannel Architecture) framework provides a quick and easy mechanism for 3rd party telephony vendors to integrate the voice channel into Fusion applications. This framework provides the following:

iFrames that allow partners to embed their media toolbars for voice controls
Java Script libraries for the bi-directional communication
Reverse lookup functionality that allows for the identification of contacts based on a number of different input tokens
Contact verification page
Configurable screen pop logic
Configurable wrap up to log call disposition information
Automatic logging of interaction data

The Interaction framework was introduced into Engagement Cloud as part of the R13 release. Interactions are created automatically through API calls, and record inbound and outbound communications with customers. Additionally, interactions can capture the customer contact, resource, start/end time of the communication and the channel of communication. These interaction records are visible through the interaction history view – which is available on the Account, Contact and Service Request records. There are also a variety of OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) reports that can be run through analytics to check and monitor operational effectiveness.
