5.5 PrivateLink

A PrivateLink enables you to connect directly to a DB System in HeatWave on AWS using private IP addresses. A PrivateLink exists between the HeatWave on AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and your VPC. You can use the PrivateLink to query or manage the DB System.

Do the following to use a PrivateLink:

1. Create a PrivateLink in HeatWave on AWS and associate it with a DB System. See Creating a PrivateLink.
2. Create an endpoint in your AWS account. See Creating an Endpoint.
3. You can now access the DB System over a PrivateLink. See Connecting to a DB System With a PrivateLink.
