2 Disabling and Enabling Data Reporter

2.1 Controlling User Access to Data Reporter

Instance and Workspace administrators can control user access to Data Reporter by configuring user attributes.

When and Instance or Workspace administrator creates a new user and enables Developer privileges, the Data Reporter Access attribute is automatically enabled.

An administrator can enable or disable this attribute by editing the user at either the workspace or instance-level.

Editing a User Access in Workspace Administration

To edit Data Reporter access in Workspace Administration:

  1. Navigate to the Workspace Administration page.
  2. Select Manage Users and Groups.
  3. Select a user.
  4. Account Privileges, Data Reporter Access:
    • On - Enables Data Reporter access.
    • Off - Disables Data Reporter access.

Editing a User Access in Administration Services

To edit Data Reporter access in Instance Administration:

  1. Sign in to Oracle APEX Administration Services.
  2. Select Manage Workspaces.
  3. Under Workspace Actions, select Manage Developers and Users.
  4. Select a user to edit.
  5. Account Privileges, Data Reporter Access:
    • Yes - Enables Data Reporter access.
    • No - Disables Data Reporter access.

2.2 Controlling Data Reporter Access for an Instance

Instance Administraors can enable and disable Data Reporter access in Oracle APEX Administration Services.

Tip:

By default, access to Data Reporter is enabled.

To configure Data Reporter availability:

  1. Sign in to Oracle APEX Administration Services.
  2. Click Manage Workspaces.
  3. Under Workspace Actions, click Manage Component Availability.
    The Component Availability page appears.
  4. Locate the workspace.
  5. Click the workspace name.
    The Workspace Settings page appears.
  6. Workspace Settings, Data Reporter -
  7. Under Workspace Settings, select Yes to enable a component or No to disable it within the current workspace. Options include:
    • Yes - Enables Data Reporter in the instance.
    • No - Disables Data Reporter in the instance.
  8. Click Apply Changes.
