16.9.10 Copying or Subscribing to a Search Configuration

Copy a search configuration from the current application or from another applications. When copying a component from another app, you can also subscribe to it.

When copying without subscription or copying within the same app, a new Static ID value is generated.

Tip:

Subscriptions enable developers to reuse shared components across several applications in a workspace. To learn more about subscriptions, see Using Shared Component Subscriptions.

To copy or subscribe to a search configuration:

1. Navigate to the Shared Components page:
   1. On the Workspace home page, click the App Builder icon.
   2. Select an application.
   3. On the Application home page, click Shared Components.
   4. Under Navigation and Search, click Search Configurations.

      The Search Configurations page appears. Note that the report includes the following columns: Subscribed From, Subscription Source, Subscriber Status, and Subscribers.

2. To copy a search configuration within the current application:
   1. Search for and locate the search configuration and click Copy in the Copy column.
      The Copy Search Configuration Wizard appears.
   2. Copy From - Accept the default, This Application.
   3. Copy Search Configuration - Identify the search configuration to copy.
   4. New Search Configuration Label - Provide a label of the search configuration you would like to create.
   5. Click Copy.
3. To copy and/or subscribe to a search configuration from another application:
   1. From the Tasks region on the Search Configurations page, click Copy from another app.
      The Copy Search Configuration Wizard appears.
   2. Copy From - Accept the default, Other Application.
   3. Application - Select the application from which you want to copy search configuration.
   4. Copy Search Configuration - Identify the search configuration to copy.
   5. New Search Configuration Label - Provide a label of the search configuration you would like to create.
   6. Subscribe - Set Subscribe to On to subscribe to the search configuration..
   7. Click Copy.
