Oracle Database 2 Day + Security Guide provides an introduction to configuring security in a default database. This guide expands on the security knowledge that you learned in Oracle Database 2 Day DBA to manage security in Oracle Database. The information in this guide applies to all platforms. This guide is intended for the following users:

• Oracle database administrators who want to acquire database security administrative skills

• Database administrators who have some security administrative knowledge but are new to Oracle Database

Conventions

This document uses the standard Oracle Database documentation style conventions.

Convention	Meaning
boldface	Boldface type indicates graphical user interface elements associated with an action, or terms defined in text or the glossary.
italic	Italic type indicates book titles, emphasis, or placeholder variables for which you supply particular values.
monospace	Monospace type indicates commands within a paragraph, URLs, code in examples, text that appears on the screen, or text that you enter.
