7.6.3 asmtool Command Line Reference
asmtool is a command-line interface for marking (or stamping) disks to be used with Oracle ASM.

If user access control (UAC) is enabled, then you must create a desktop shortcut to a command window. Open the command window using the Run as Administrator, right-click the context menu, and launch asmtool.
                  
Note:
If you use-add, -addprefix, or -delete, asmtool notifies the Oracle ASM instance on the local node and on other nodes in the cluster, if available, to rescan the available disks.
