OpenTelemetrySemconvStabilityOptIn

This property sets whether ODP.NET OpenTelemetry traces use deprecated tags, new tags, or both sets of tags.

Remarks

Values are case-insensitive, and leading or trailing whitespace is ignored. For example, “DATABASE” is equivalent to “database”.

The property can contain multiple comma-separated values. When multiple values are specified, the modes are resolved according to the following precedence:

  1. database/dup - highest precedence; emits both new and deprecated tags.
  2. database - next highest precedence; emits new tags only.
  3. Any other value - lowest precedence; emits deprecated tags only.

For example:

OracleConfiguration.OpenTelemetrySemconvStabilityOptIn =
   "database, database/dup";

Because database/dup has the highest precedence, ODP.NET emits both new and deprecated tags.
