4.2 Prerequisites

Before you begin, you must ensure the following:

• You have a valid connection to a database schema, with the default privileges required to create objects and run PL/SQL procedures.
• You have run annotation install once in the database to install the AI Enrichment metadata package.

• For annotation auto-annotate, you have configured a SQLcl LLM chat model by using the model command. If no LLM is configured, annotation auto-annotate fails and does not generate descriptions for tables and columns.
