The Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database and Oracle TimesTen Application-Tier Database Cache can be licensed using the Named User Plus or Processor metrics. See Oracle Software Licensing Basics to learn more about these two metrics.

Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database Licensing and Restrictions

The Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database license allows unrestricted use of all TimesTen features and functionality.

This license does not require you to license any other Oracle product in order to use TimesTen.

Oracle TimesTen Application-Tier Database Cache Licensing and Restrictions

The Oracle TimesTen Application-Tier Database Cache license enables use of all TimesTen features and functionality.

This license is an option to the Oracle Database and requires you to have an Oracle Database Enterprise Edition license.

This license is intended for use cases that involve TimesTen caching data on an Oracle Database. The deployed TimesTen architecture must have at least one table that has a caching relationship with data in an Oracle Database.
