8.9.1 Stop the Management Server Process

You must stop the Management Server (MS) before updating the JDK package.

1. Log in to the server as the root user.
2. Stop MS.

   • On database servers:

     # dbmcli -e alter dbserver shutdown services ms

   • On storage servers:

     # cellcli -e alter cell shutdown services ms
