2.1.12 Custom File System Layout

Oracle Exadata System Software release 26.1.0 enables users to customize the file system layout on Exadata database servers (KVM hosts and bare-metal configurations) using Exadata system hardware X8M-2 and later. Administrators can define site-specific layouts, including custom file system sizes and additional file systems.

This feature provides flexible storage configuration options that align with customer standards and support diverse application requirements in an automated and repeatable way. It can also improve local storage capacity utilization by allocating file system space according to site-specific requirements instead of relying only on the default layout.
