Oracle Autonomous Health Framework (AHF) 23.10 Release Notes Summary

  • Exadata cell-metric collection for guest VMs: The exadcli utility can run ExaCLI commands across multiple remote nodes, allowing cell metrics to be collected for Exadata guest VMs (DomUs).
  • Custom upload ports: ahfctl setupload can now specify a non-default diagnostic-upload port. HTTPS port 443 remains the default.
  • Flexible compliance profiles: The new -includeprofile option adds checks from selected profiles to the normal compliance run. It cannot be combined with -profile or -excludeprofile.
  • Longer Insights analysis windows: Insights reports can cover up to 12 hours. It also dynamically adjusts metric sampling intervals so larger reports remain practical to generate and explore.
  • Improved OS Issues experience: The Report view adds a wider layout, event subplots in the timeline, visual top-metric tables, and detailed snapshots for problematic timestamps.
  • GoldenGate diagnostic component: tfactl diagcollect -goldengate collects GoldenGate diagnostics by time range, replacing less targeted collection behavior and reducing unnecessary log volume.
  • Platform lifecycle notice: Oracle announced terminal AHF releases for older operating systems approaching end of life.
  • New Exachk checks: Exachk adds Oracle High Availability Services startup validation, critical-issue checks EX80–EX82 and DB52, and checks for inactive patches in database and Grid Infrastructure homes.
