Oracle Autonomous Health Framework (AHF) 26.1 Release Notes Summary

  • Terminal release for HP-UX: AHF 26.1.0 is the final AHF release for HP-UX. Oracle will continue supporting this release on applicable end-of-life operating systems, but future AHF versions will no longer support the platform.
  • New RAC network-bandwidth profile: The new netperf profile measures the maximum achievable network bandwidth between Oracle RAC nodes. This gives administrators a simpler way to assess interconnect capacity and identify potential network limitations.
  • Stronger security best-practice reporting: Orachk and Exachk now incorporate recommendations from Oracle Database Security Assessment Tool (DBSAT) 4.1.0. Their reports therefore provide improved security guidance and compliance-oriented recommendations.
  • More flexible configuration updates: AHF updates can now manage configuration files across multiple base versions. This makes configuration handling during upgrades more efficient, particularly where more than one baseline or version is in use.
  • Per-check execution timings: Reports can display the duration of each check through the Show Check Timings setting. Combining this with Show Check IDs helps administrators identify slow checks and investigate or tune them more easily.
  • Automatic switch-user selection on KVM Dom0: Exachk automatically detects the best configured account for switch data collection, preferring dbadmin, switchexa, root, then admin. It uses passwordless SSH or wallet credentials where available, reducing prompts and avoiding skipped collections in automated runs.
