AHF Insights Interactive Subshell Command Reference

The AHF Insights subshell enables you to explore reports directly from your terminal, allowing you to quickly review findings without transferring or unzipping report files.

Syntax

ahf analysis explore [-h] [--with {scope}]  [--type {insights} --from-file FILE]

Usage

Parameters

ahf analysis subshell Command Parameters

Parameter	Description
--with {scope}	Select the tool to use for creating an exploratory analysis. Note: Specify --with and --from-file to create an exploration from a file.
--from-file	Specify the complete path to the file you want to explore. Note: Specify --with and --from-file to create an exploration from a file.
--type {insights}	Explore the AHF collection to view available reports and insights.
-s,	summary: Displays Report summary. cluster: Displays Cluster configuration data. databases: Displays Databases details. recommended-software: Displays the list of recommended software. database-servers: Displays Database Servers data. storage-servers: Displays Storage Servers data. fabric-switches: Displays Fabric Switches data. problems: Displays Detected Problems. database-anomalies: Displays problem findings from Database.
Anomalies Advisor	events: Displays Events data. changes: Displays System Changes. recommended-software: Displays Recommended Software. database-server-alerts: Displays Database Server alerts. rpm: Displays RPM list. database-parameters: Displays normal Database Parameters.
list	kernel-parameters: Displays Kernel parameters list. patches: Displays Patches data. space: Displays Space configuration data. performance-reports: Displays Performance Reports present in the collection.
[optional targets]	-s cluster --sub-section asm-details: Displays ASM Details for the cluster. -s cluster --sub-section resources: Displays Cluster resources. -s databases --db : Displays additional details for the specified database. -s problems --timestamp : Display detected problem summary for the specified timestamp. -s problems -t (Shortcut for --timestamp). -s patches --pid : Displays fixed bugs from particular patch. -s patches --components: Displays installed components. -s database-anomalies --db : Displays problem findings from database. Anomalies Advisor for the specified database -s database-anomalies --host : Displays problem findings from database. Anomalies Advisor for the specified host -s database-anomalies --in : Displays problem findings from database. Anomalies Advisor for the specified instance -s database-parameters --hidden: Displays hidden database parameters list.

Running the command ahf analysis explore --type insights --from-file /scratch/data/testnode_insights_2025_07_14_21_49_50.zip launches a read-eval-print loop (REPL) environment. Within this shell, you can run specific commands using supported options.

Currently, the supported commands are: show, clear, help, and exit.

Among the supported commands, only show accepts the -s parameter, which is used to specify the section of the Insights report you want to view.

For example:

• show -s cluster
• show -s databases
• show -s recommended-software

Some sections may also support additional parameters for more specific filtering or output customization.
