Enabling Online Mode for Patching

Note:

These steps are to be performed of you previously patched in Offline mode and need to revert to Online mode. Enterprise Manager does not upload data to MOS, it only downloads the latest updates.

Online mode has to be enabled to automatically download patch recommendations and to download patches to the software library. To patch the targets in Online mode, set the connection setting in Cloud Control to Online mode by logging in as a user that has the Patch Administrator role, and following these steps:

  1. From the Setup menu, select Provisioning and Patching, then select Online Patching.
  2. For Connection, select Online.
