Set Up the Infrastructure

Role: EM_PATCH_DESIGNER

Oracle recommends that you use online patching mode, this is the default patching mode in Enterprise Manager, you do not have to manually set this up the first time. If you set it to offline mode and want to reset it to online mode, or if you want to verify that the online mode is set, see: Setting up MOS Connection for Patch Recommendations and Patch Downloads.

If you have a proxy server set up in your environment, register the proxy details. To register the proxy server details with Enterprise Manager, see Setting up MOS Connection for Patch Recommendations and Patch Downloads.
