Resize PDB

You can resize PDB instances by initiating a resize operation to a workload size defined in the corresponding service template. This resize operation ensures sufficient availability and effective utilization of resources.

Prerequisites

Before you begin resizing a PDB make sure you complete all prerequisites. For more information see: Prerequisites PDB Resize in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Administration Guide.

PDB Resize: Self-service Portal

You can use the Resize button to initiate a resize operation. The Resize button is enabled only if the service template for PDB has more than one workload.

After the Resize button is clicked, you can select a size from the drop-down list.

Limitations

• If the PDB's actual storage consumption is greater than the storage value in the new workload, PDB scale down operation is not possible.
• If sufficient resources are not available on the target host for PDB resizing, PDB Relocation must be used.
