Analyze Using Exadata Warehouse

When you use the Metrics Dashboard with Exadata Warehouse as the data source, you can also view estimated forecasts.

The Exadata Warehouse can ingest metrics into an Exadata-based database, whether on-premises or in the Cloud. It can store fine-grained metric data with per-minute granularity. Uploads to the Exadata Warehouse can also backfill metric data to cover periods when monitoring of the Exadata system was interrupted in Enterprise Manager. The Exadata Warehouse generates automated forecasts and roll-ups for each metric, which are updated periodically. The forecasts are generated for up to three months by analyzing nine months of historical data, using machine learning seasonality models to improve accuracy.

The data retention settings in the Exadata Warehouse are:

Fine-grained metric data: Up to13 months
Hourly roll-up metric data: Up to 4 years
Daily roll-up metric data: Up to 7 years
