Verify Data Uploads
You can verify that data is uploaded to Exadata Warehouse by checking the upload status in Cloud Bridge or by querying Exadata Warehouse.
Note:
The initial upload attempts to retrieve up to one year of historical data and may take some time. After the system reaches a steady state, incremental uploads to Exadata Warehouse are quicker.Use one of the following methods to verify the data upload:
- Check the data upload status in Cloud Bridge. For information, see Viewing Data Upload Status for a Service in the Oracle Enterprise Manager Administrator's Guide.
- Query Exadata Warehouse.
To verify that historical data has been uploaded, run the following query:
SELECT target_name, metric_column, key_part_1, TO_CHAR(min(metric_time),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') AS start_date, TO_CHAR(max(metric_time),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') AS end_date, COUNT(1) AS total_data_count FROM Exadata_Historical_metric_data GROUP BY EM_ID, target_name, target_type, metric_name, metric_column, KEY_PART_1 ORDER BY target_name, metric_column;To verify that forecast data has been generated, run the following queries:
SELECT target_name, metric_column, key_part_1, TO_CHAR(min(metric_time),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') AS start_date, TO_CHAR(max(metric_time),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') AS end_date, COUNT(1) AS total_data_count FROM Exadata_forecast_metric_data GROUP BY EM_ID, target_name, target_type, metric_name, metric_column, KEY_PART_1 ORDER BY target_name, metric_column; SELECT COUNT(1) FROM Exadata_forecasts;
