This section lists the documentation updates for release 24.3.x.

Release 24.3.0- G17990-04, November 2025

General Updates:

Updated the sample configuration in the NFService Priority Update section.
Updated the following metric names in the document in the NRF Message Feed section:
- Updated the metric name from oc_ingressgateway_msgcopy_response_total to oc_ingressgateway_msgcopy_responses_total.
- Updated the metric name from oc_egressgateway_msgcopy_response_total to oc_egressgateway_msgcopy_responses_total.
Updated the metric name in the document from oc_egressgateway_msgcopy_response_total to oc_egressgateway_msgcopy_responses_total in the Egress Gateway Metrics section.
Updated the Overload Control Based on Percentage Discards section with the following:
- Enhanced the existing feature description.
- Added the service_resource_stress and service_resource_overload_level metrics.
- Added the service and isLeaderPod dimensions for the load_level metric in the Overload Control section.
- Added the descriptions for the service and isLeaderPod dimensions in the NRF Metrics section.
- Updated the description of the type dimension in the NRF Metrics section.
- Added the following metrics in the Overload Control section:
  - service_resource_stress
  - service_resource_overload_level
- Added the LoadLevel and DiscardAction dimensions in the NRF Metrics section.
- Added the oc_ingressgateway_route_overloadcontrol_discard_total metric in the Ingress Gateway Metrics section.
- Added a note for removing the memory based overload control in the Overload Control Based on Percentage Discards section.
Updated the NRF Supported Services section with the maximum number of NFProfiles and NFSubscriptions.
Added a note in the DataSetId Enhancements section to indicate that DataSetId parameter is ignored for certain scenarios for the NF Profiles.
Added a note in the DNS NAPTR Update section to mention that the feature works in non-ASM deployment.
Updated the NRF Last Known Response section to mention that in a NfProfileRetrieval request, NRF sends a response with the requested NfProfile by changing the status of NF from PROBABLE_SUSPENDED to UNDISCOVERABLE.
Updated the description of the following service operations in the NRF Supported Services section:
- Retrieval of NF list (NFListRetrieval)
- Retrieval of NF Profiles (NFProfileRetrieval)
Added a note in the NRF Message Feed section to indicate that certain messages are not copied to the Data Director.
Updated the Enhanced NRF Set Based Deployment (NRF Growth) section with the following:
- Added step 10 in to mention that NRF Growth Forwarding feature should be enabled, if forwarding is applicable and rearranged the configuration procedure.
- Added a note in step 7 stating that one of the entries in staticNrfConfigList must contain the details of the local NRF Set.
Removed the note added for Horizontal POD Autoscaling (HPA) from the Ingress Gateway Pod Protection section as HPA is applicable for all the NRF pods.
Added the ONRF-DIS-DISC-E0007 error code in the NFDiscover Service Operation section.
Updated the procedure for enabling the feature in the NRF Last Known Response section.
Updated the description of the Allow Duplicate Subscription and NRF Support For Profile Changes In Response parameters in the NF Management Options section.
Updated the description of the Audience Type parameter in the NF Access Token Options section.
Added the type dimension in the NRF Metrics section.
Updated the nrfSupportedFeatures section with the attributes supported by NRF.
Added the Use Cases for Allow Duplicate Subscriptions section to include the use cases for allowDuplicateSubscriptions parameter.

General Updates:

Added the command to apply the filter in each namespace for the server header propagation in the Adding Filters for Server Header Propagation section.
Updated the Notification Retry section with a note to configure the nfdiscovery.jetty.request.timeout parameter for considering the number of reroutes and the backend request timeout.

- Added the Content-Encoding Header section as NRF supports gzipped encoding for response messages.

- Updated the behavior of SLF feature, when nrfArtisan service does not receive a success response from discovery service operation in the Dynamic Selection of SLF section.
- Updated the behavior of exceptionListForMissingMandatoryParameter in the Subscriber Location Function section.
- Added the ocnrf_SLF_reroutes_total metric in the NRF SLF Metrics section.
- Updated the following in the CCA Header Validation in NRF for Access Token Service Operation section:
  - Updated the description of x5 attribute.
  - Updated the value of enabled:true to enable this feature in Managing CCA Header validation in NRF for Access Token Service Operation.
- Updated the description for the following parameters in the CCA Header section:
  - Enabled
  - Min Expiry Time
  - Sub Key
  - Validation Rule
- Added Adding Filters for Server Header Propagation for server header propagation in service-mesh based deployment.

General Updates:

Added the PreviousSLFFqdn and TargetSLFFqdn dimensions in the NRF Metrics section.
Added the following metrics in the NRF Cache Data Metrics section:
- ocnrf_cds_rx_remote_requests_total
- ocnrf_cds_rx_remote_responses_total
- ocnrf_cds_remote_rx_request_round_trip_time
Updated the value of the sampling period parameter from 6000 to 200 in the following sections:
- Overload Control Based on Percentage Discards

Updated the default value of Monitoring Interval field from 100 to 1200 in the Pod Protection Options Options section.
