10 Installing an Operating System

This section provides instructions for Oracle Communications Server E6-2L operating system (OS) installation. Each operating system has specific steps to follow to complete the installation.

The general installation process for all operating systems is as follows.

1. Review the server Product Notes.
2. Confirm the supported operating system version.
3. Install the server hardware.
4. Connect to the system.
5. Select the installation method.
6. Select the installation target.
7. Install the operating system.
8. Configure the operating system.
