Configure the Object Storage Destination

Provide the OCI user, tenancy, region, and bucket information that ECP Data Bridge uses for Object Storage uploads.

  • Register the ECP Data Bridge public key with the OCI user.

  • Create or identify the target OCI Object Storage bucket.

  • Ensure that the OCI user has the permissions required to access and upload objects to the target bucket.

  • Obtain the OCI user OCID, tenancy OCID, region identifier, and bucket name.

  1. In ECP, select Inventory.
  2. Locate and select the Cloud Connector on which ECP Data Bridge is installed.
  3. Select the Applications tab.
  4. Select ECP Data Bridge.
  5. From the actions menu, select Update Configuration.
  6. Select the ECP Data Bridge configuration that you want to update.
    The runtime-configuration fields are displayed.
  7. Locate the OCI Object Storage configuration fields.
  8. Enter the Object Storage destination information.
    Field Description

    User

    Enter the OCID of the OCI user with which the ECP Data Bridge public key is registered.

    Tenancy

    Enter the OCID of the OCI tenancy that contains the target Object Storage bucket.

    Region

    Enter the OCI region identifier for the target bucket.

    Bucket

    Enter the name of the target OCI Object Storage bucket.

    Note:

    The OCI user must have access to the specified bucket. Use a policy that grants only the permissions required to validate access and upload objects to the target bucket.
  9. Select Save.

The updated runtime configuration is sent to ECP Data Bridge on the Cloud Connector.

After the configuration is applied, ECP Data Bridge uses the specified bucket for automatic uploads. The upload begins after the download stage of a transfer completes successfully.
