Register the Public Key in OCI

Register the public key generated by ECP Data Bridge with the OCI user used for Object Storage access.

ECP Data Bridge uses the registered API key to authenticate with OCI. Register the public key obtained from the ECP Data Bridge local UI before configuring the Object Storage destination.
  • Obtain the ECP Data Bridge public key.

  • Identify the OCI user that ECP Data Bridge will use to access Object Storage.

  • Ensure that you have permission to manage API keys for the OCI user.

  • Ensure that the OCI user has an IAM policy that grants the permissions required to access the target Object Storage bucket.

  1. Sign in to the OCI Console.
  2. Open the profile menu, and select User settings.
  3. On the User Details page, select Tokens and keys.
  4. In the API Keys section, select Add API key.
The Add API Key dialog opens.
  5. Provide the ECP Data Bridge public key by using one of the following methods:
    • Select the option to choose a public-key file, and upload the file downloaded from ECP Data Bridge.
    • Select the option to paste a public key, and paste the public-key contents copied from ECP Data Bridge.
  6. Select Add.
The API key is added to the OCI user, and the key details are displayed.
  7. Locate the newly added API key.

Use the fingerprint displayed in ECP Data Bridge to identify the corresponding key entry in OCI.
