Obtain the ECP Data Bridge Public Key

Obtain the public key generated by ECP Data Bridge for OCI Object Storage authentication.

ECP Data Bridge generates a public and private key pair when the application starts. The private key remains in secure storage. Register the public key with the OCI user that ECP Data Bridge uses to access Object Storage.

• Install and start ECP Data Bridge.

• Ensure that you can access the ECP Data Bridge local UI.

• Ensure that you have credentials for an enabled ECP Data Bridge account.

1. Sign in to the ECP Data Bridge local UI.
2. Open the actions menu, and select Public Key.
   The Public Key page displays the generated public key and its fingerprint.
3. Record the displayed fingerprint.
   You can use the fingerprint to identify the corresponding API key after the public key is registered in OCI.
4. Obtain the public key by using one of the following methods:
   • Use the download option to save the public key as a file.
   • Use the copy option to copy the public-key contents.

The method you select determines whether you upload a public-key file or paste the key contents when registering the API key in OCI.

The public key is ready to be registered with the designated OCI user. The private key remains in the secure vault and is not displayed or downloaded.

Register the public key with the OCI user used for Object Storage access.
