Edit a Shipped Edge Node

Use the Edit edge node drawer to review and update a Cloud Connector before onboarding it.

Before you begin, review the following requirements:
  • The Cloud Connector must be in the Shipped lifecycle state.
  • Select only one Cloud Connector. Oracle ECP disables Edit when you select multiple Cloud Connectors.
  • Contact Oracle Support to request a change to a protected shipping or hardware identifier.
  1. On the Inventory page, select Edge Nodes.
  2. Use the Lifecycle State filter to display Cloud Connectors in the Shipped state.
  3. Select the Cloud Connector that you want to update.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Update the applicable editable information.
Depending on the Cloud Connector configuration, editable information can include the name, organization, description, authentication method, registration address, deployment address and coordinates, Internet Connectivity onboarding choices, the applicable cellular or satellite subscription, and the initial SIM activation state.
Serial number, make, model, Connectivity Type, ICCIDs, and Starlink identifiers are protected values. The editable Internet Connectivity controls are onboarding choices and are different from the protected Connectivity Type value.
  6. Click Update.
Oracle ECP updates the Cloud Connector in the inventory and creates an Activity Log entry for the change.
Next Steps:

Onboard the Cloud Connector when its information is complete and you are ready to activate its connectivity services.
