Onboard Shipped Edge Nodes

Onboard shipped Cloud Connectors from the Edge Nodes Inventory page. You can include from 1 through 100 Cloud Connectors in one onboarding request.

Before you begin, review the following requirements:
  • Confirm that every Cloud Connector is in the Shipped lifecycle state.
  • Review and update the Cloud Connector information before starting. You cannot edit information in the onboarding workflow.
  • Confirm that each cellular Cloud Connector has its required connectivity and SIM information.
  1. On the Inventory page, select Edge Nodes.
  2. Use the Lifecycle State filter to display Cloud Connectors in the Shipped state.
  3. Select from 1 through 100 Cloud Connectors.
  4. Click Onboard.
The Add edge node details page lists each select Cloud Connector and any validation errors.
  5. Review the Edge Node, Error, Field, and Value columns.
  6. If Oracle ECP reports validation errors, click Cancel, edit the affected Cloud Connectors, and restart the onboarding request.
The Continue button remains unavailable while a selected Cloud Connector has a validation error.
  7. On the Review summary page, verify the number of Cloud Connectors and SIM cards, the Cloud Connector type, and the enabled connectivity types.
  8. Click Submit.
Oracle ECP submits the request and reports the outcome for each Cloud Connector. A successfully onboarded Cloud Connector changes from the Shipped lifecycle state to the Onboarded lifecycle state. If a batch contains failures, review each result and repeat the procedure only for the Cloud Connectors that did not onboard.
