Monitor ECP Data Bridge Storage

Review the local storage available for file transfers and remove files when additional space is required.

  • Sign in using an enabled ECP Data Bridge account.

  • To remove files through the SMB share, use an account with read-write access.

The ECP Data Bridge local UI displays the total, used, and available storage allocated to the application. Source downloads and files added through the SMB share use the same local storage.
  1. Sign in to the ECP Data Bridge local UI.
  2. Review the storage information displayed in the navigation panel.
  3. Review the following values:
    Information Description

    Total

The total local storage allocated to ECP Data Bridge.

    Used

The amount of storage currently used by downloaded files and files added through SMB.

    Free

The amount of storage currently available for new files and transfers.

  4. The storage information is refreshed every minute.
  5. If a storage warning is displayed, identify files that are no longer required.
  6. Connect to the SMB share using an account with read-write access.
  7. Remove files or transfer folders that are no longer required.

    Note:

Do not delete files associated with a failed or canceled upload if you intend to retry the upload. The retry cannot proceed when required files are missing from local storage.
  8. Return to the ECP Data Bridge local UI.
  9. Wait for the storage information to refresh, and verify that sufficient storage is available.
  10. Before initiating a transfer, ECP Data Bridge compares the available local storage with the size of the selected folder. If sufficient storage is not available, the transfer does not start.
  11. After removing files, initiate the transfer again.
  • To remove files from local storage, see Manage Files in the SMB Share.

  • To start the transfer again, see Initiate a File Transfer.
