Moving WBS Elements

You can move individual WBS elements within the same project using the Move Up, Move Down, Move Right, and Move Left items on the Context menu in the Activities grid. However if you need to move multiple WBS elements, you can use Fill Down in the Parent column of the Activities grid to change the parent WBS of groups of WBS elements.

To move a group of WBS elements:

1. On the Navigation Menu, expand Projects and click Activities.
2. On the Activities page:
   1. If it is not already present, add the Parent column to the grid.
   2. In the Parent column, select the new parent WBS element for the group of WBS elements you want to move.
   3. Hold down the Ctrl or Shift key while selecting the WBS elements you want to move.
   4. Click Context and select Fill Down.
   5. Click Save.

Tip:

If the WBS elements you want to move are contiguous (or separated only by activity rows) in the view, you can instead use the Fill Down drag point to copy the new WBS parent value to the required rows.
