Step 8: Defining Security Permissions

In the Security step, define security permissions for the alert. By default, new objects inherit their security permissions from their home folder. The Inheriting Settings box at the top of the Security step is selected and indicates the name of the home folder.

Access the Security step by clicking Next in the In Folders step of the Alert wizard.

In the Security step:

1. Add, remove, or edit security permissions.

   For information on working with security permissions, refer to Security.

2. Click Finish to add the alert to the Alerts list.
