Managing Shell Templates
From the Shells node under Templates, you can create and access shell templates, open a template, and edit template properties. You can also designate a specific shell as the default shell to use when projects and shells are created.
One node is created under Shells for each imported shell type with an active configuration status.
Note:
- Shell template names do not need to be unique. If multiple shell templates have the same name, synchronization or integration processes can fail because the application cannot identify the correct template. If a gateway synchronization error such as
Query returns multiple results: nulloccurs, change the shell template name to a unique value, and then retry synchronization. - You can create a shell template with a name that matches an existing Company Sponsored Shell name.
- Single-instance shells do not appear under Shells because only one instance can exist for those shell types, so no template is needed.
