Creation Step

The Create [BP name] form opens in a pop-up window. When you create a business process (BP) record, the form includes tabs for the main form and line items, as well as toolbar options. The main form appears as the first tab, followed by tabs for each line item.

The left pane displays the record and line item details. The right pane displays additional tabs associated with the main form or selected line items. You can resize the left and right panes by using the Resize Tab resize icon icon.

Note:

During the Creation Step for a workflow BP, a user can prepare an e-signature request without sending it to recipients. Unifier creates a provider draft request. When the BP record advances beyond the Creation Step, Unifier creates the record and begins sending the linked request in the background. This process helps prevent orphaned provider requests when a draft BP is deleted. The behavior applies only to the BP Creation Step. In later workflow steps, Send for E-Signature sends the request immediately.

Main Form

The main portion of the BP form contains information about the BP record, such as the record name, description, who created the record and when, and other general information. The form also displays additional informational blocks defined by your administrator. You can collapse and expand these blocks.

Toolbar Option Description
Save Draft Saves a draft of the form. To view your drafts, select Home, and then select Drafts.
Send Routes a workflow BP to the specified recipients. This option is available only for workflow BPs.
Submit Submits the record after you finish editing it. This option is available for all non-workflow BPs in Edit mode.
More Actions

Displays options based on the BP design. It can include the following options:

  • Auto-create: Appears for BPs that can auto-create other BPs.
  • Print HTML, PDF and Custom: Appears for all BPs. You cannot print draft records.
  • Export Line Item Template: Appears for BPs that have a Detail Form integration interface defined.
  • Reload: Reloads the page.
  • Help: Provides BP-specific help. Your company or project/shell administrator can provide a custom Help file for a specific BP. When a custom Help file is available, it appears under the Help menu for the BP log or form.
  • Close: Closes the record.

The right pane displays the following tabs associated with the main form: Attachments, Comments, linked Records, and Linked Mail. For Portal BPs, Attachments and Comments tabs are displayed.

When the Attachments tab contains attachments, an Attachment"" indicator is displayed. If the tab contains no attachments, the right pane refreshes and the indicator no longer appears.

When the Comments tab contains comments, a Comment indicator "" is displayed. If the tab contains no comments, the right pane refreshes and the indicator no longer appears.

Line Item Form

Line item tabs appear after the main form tab. The left pane displays all line items, and the right pane displays the Detail Form associated with the selected line item.

The right pane contains the Line Item Details, Attachments, and Linked Records tabs. The Attachments tab is displayed only when the line item form supports attachments. Query based tabs do not appear during the Creation step.

The gear menu ("") displays next to each line item on the left pane displays the available line item actions. The menu can include: Copy, Copy With Attachments, Add to Group, and Remove. Copy, Add to Group, and Remove appear only when the form design specifies these actions. Copy With Attachments appears only when attachments exist.

Toolbar Options Description
Add Adds a new line item. The Add button appears only when the form design permits line item additions.
Actions

""Refresh Refreshes the line items. All unsaved manual edits are lost.
"" Print

Prints the list view. You can select Print, Export To CSV, and Export To Excel.

Note:

  • For export to Microsoft Excel, the system supports only Euro (EUR) and United States Dollar (USD) currency symbols.
  • When you export data from a BP record, sheet (such as an Activity Sheet), or log (such as Company Funding Sheet Log) to Excel, the data type of negative values can affect calculations. Configure the columns in Excel with the Number data type so that Excel treats the values as numeric. One supported format includes placing the negative sign between the currency symbol and the amount (for example, $-1,000).
"" Search Searches for specific line items across all pages.
"" Find on Page Finds items on the displayed page. When you select this option, the system inserts a row where you can enter filter parameters.

"" Collapse All Groups

"" Expand All Groups
