Exporting a CSV File With or Without Import Support

When you export a CSV file from a sheet (Cost Sheet, Funding Sheet, and so on), numeric fields display according to your Preferences number format options.

The following rules apply:

• In features that support both export and import through a CSV file, the currency symbol and digit grouping symbol are not displayed.
• In features that support export only through a CSV file, the currency symbol and digit grouping symbol are displayed.
• In Unifier features that support export only through a CSV file, negative numbers display according to your Preferences.
• The decimal symbol displays according to your Preferences.
• In features that support both export and import through a CSV file, negative numbers display in the format -<Number, Decimal Symbol, Number>. For example, if the decimal symbol is a comma, a negative number displays as -100000,99.
• If the file includes date fields, the dates are formatted according to your Preferences.
