Adding a Dynamic Data Set

A dynamic data set will not be visible on the form as a "set" in a single cell, but rather as separate data elements that will act with a specific behavior in Unifier. Consequently, you cannot select a dynamic data set (DDS) and see it in the cell you select. Instead, you must add the set's data elements (DEs) to the cells individually. Then, to make the elements a dynamic data set, select Dynamic Data Set. Although you will not see any indication at that point, the DDS will instruct Unifier to use the elements named in the set in the behavior the set specifies.

For more information on dynamic data sets, see Dynamic Data Sets.

To add a dynamic data set:

  1. Open the form for which you want to create a DDS.
  2. In the Form Designer window, add the DEs specified in the DDS by choosing from either the custom or standard elements.
  3. Select Add. The Dynamic Data Sets List window opens, showing the sets that have been created.
  4. Select the set you want, and select OK. uDesigner displays the set in the Dynamic Data Set window.

    Note:

You can only add a DDS that contains uuu_sovlinum to eligible Change Commit detail forms. You cannot add it to an SPA Change Commit detail form.
  5. Select Close. Unifier will use the elements named in the set in the behavior the set specified.
