Searching and Maintaining Rate Schedules

Use this procedure to search for and view a rate schedule.

Prerequisites: You must configure an instance of the Rate Engine Configuration master configuration in order to create and/or maintain rate schedules.

  • Select Menu > Rates > Rate Schedule > Search.
  • Enter your search criteria.

    You can search by Rate Schedule, Description, or Rate Engine (Calculation Rule-Based or Component-Based).

  • Click Search.
  • In the search results list, click the Description link for the rate schedule you want to view or edit.
    Note: Component-based rate schedules will be highlighted by having “(Component-Based)” appended to their listing in the search results.
    • The selected rate schedule is displayed in the (Calculation Rule-Based) Rate Schedule portal. You use this portal to maintain rate schedule. This portal includes the following zones:
      • Rate Schedule: Defines basic information about the rate schedule.
      • Rate Schedule Tree: Displays the hierarchy of Calculation Groups and Calculation Rules for the Rate Schedule. Only the most recent rate version calculation group is initially displayed. In this zone you can:
        • Click a calculation group or calculation rule link to go to the Calculation Group or Calculation Rule portal for the associated calculation group or calculation rule.
        • Click the Broadcast icon for a calculation rule to open the Cross Reference Rule zone. This zone displays the rate schedule’s calculation rules that are members of the broadcast calculation rule’s target category.
        • Click the Show All Rate Versions button to display all rate versions for the rate schedule. This will also display the Show Effective Rate Version button, which you can use to display the information for the most recent rate version.

Use this procedure to maintain a rate schedule:

  • Select Menu > Rates > Rate Schedule > Search to navigate to the Rate Schedule Query portal.
  • Search for and select the appropriate rate schedule.
    • The selected rate schedule is displayed in the (new) Rate Schedule portal.
      • Click Edit, Delete, or Duplicate as appropriate.
Note:

If you select a component-based rate schedule, the selected rate schedule is displayed in the (component-based) Rate Schedule page.
