Managing Work Orders

The Data Dashboard includes access to work orders associated with an entity. You can access work orders from the Manage Work Orders button, which gives you access to:

  • Mute and unmute meters. You can only submit work orders when the entity is unmuted
  • Submit a work order
  • Add and remove feedback to and from a meter
  • Cancel a work order (the work order Status must be Started to cancel a work order for meter)
  • Add a work order to a Work Order List

Note: The Work Order integration needs to be configured by your Delivery Team, and used to pass work orders to any downstream system for work or field order management.

Mute

The Mute drop-down is used to prevent work orders from being created for that entity. For example, you may mute the meter if there is a planned outage or if a work order already exists for the entity. In addition, you can select from the drop-down, for how long the entity will be muted.

Feedback

The Feedback drop-down is used by technicians when they are called to a site to check the entity for issues. The default feedback options are Safety and Theft. However, this drop-down is configurable and customized for the utility.

Work Order List

A Work Order List is a group of meters that have a particular issue on a specific date. For example, there may be a list of meters that have no consumption data on a specific date. See List Upload for more information.

Submitting a Work Order

  1. Click Work Orders.
  2. If available and applicable, select one of the work order lists from the List drop-down.
  3. Type additional information about the entity in the New Work Order text field and then click Submit Work Order.

Canceling a Work Order

  1. Click Work Orders.
  2. Check the Work Order History list and click Cancel Work Order for the work order you want to cancel.

If you don't see a Cancel Work Order button, then there are no open work orders for the entity.
