Approve or Revert a Storm Model
Utilities are often required by regulators to communicate information about a storm Estimated Restoration Timeline (ERT) and share it within 12-24 hours after a storm exits the area. Depending on your utility's policies and procedures, you may need to approve ERT information shortly before or after the storm has exited the area.
Approve a Storm Model
- Sign into Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights.
- Click Explore, Storm and then ERT.
- Search for and click the name of the Storm Model you want to approve.
- Click Actions and then Approve.
- On the Approve Storm ERT page, complete the required fields.
- Storm Start Date: Confirm the date and time when the storm entered your service territory.
- Storm Cut-Off Date: Confirm the date and time after which new outages were excluded from the Storm Model. This is usually the date and time when the storm left your service territory, but not always. See Storm Cut-Off Date for more information.
- ERT to Approve: Select the ERT you want to approve; you can only approve one ERT. Verify you are approving the correct ERT, because this action is irreversible.
- Click Actions and then Approve.
Now that you have approved the Storm ERT, you can share this information with your organization and the public so that they can prepare for the storm. You will likely need information from the 90% and 95% milestones that are displayed in the ERT.
Revert a Storm Model
After you have approved a Storm Model, you may want to revert it to a Draft state so you can make updates.
Warning: When an approved Storm Model is reverted to a Draft state, it cannot be used in calculations for another Storm Model. The model must be approved before it can be used in other Storm Model calculations again.
- Sign into Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights.
- Click Explore, Storm and then ERT.
- Search for and click the name of the Approved Storm Model you want to revert.
- Click Actions and then Revert to Draft.
