View the Storm ERT Dashboard
When you open the Storm Estimated Restoration Timeline (ERT) module, it opens the Storm ERT dashboard which lists Storm Models and Storm Events. Storm Models allow you to define when a storm will start and end within a service territory. Storm Events allow you to define the Actual Restoration Timeline (ART). The Storm ERT dashboard includes the following features:
- Names for each Storm Model or Storm Event, start and cut-off dates, the number of affected customers, and the state of each Storm Model or Storm Event (Approved, Cancelled, Historic, Archived, and Draft).
- A search field to find specific Storm Models or Storm Events.
- Filters to specify search criteria that include Name, Zone, Customers, State, and Date Range.
- Create Storm Model and Create Storm Event buttons to create a Storm Model or Storm Event.
Storm Model and Storm Event States
A Storm Model can be in an Approved, Cancelled, Archived, or Draft state. Storm Events can only be in a Historic or Cancelled state.
- Draft:
When a new Storm Model is created, it goes into a Draft state. In this state, you can update the Storm Model details, add and update ERTs, add and update crew allocations, or cancel the Storm Model. Storm Models are typically created before a storm hits the service territory, and will remain in a Draft state until shortly after restoration activities begin.
Be advised: You cannot edit a Storm Model after you create one or more ERTs for it.
- Approved: A Storm Model is typically approved when the ERT needs to be fixed or published. When approving a Storm Model, you will need to specify the official ERT.
Note: While in an Approved state, ERTs associated with the Storm Model cannot be edited.
- Cancelled: You can cancel any Storm Model or Storm Event. Cancelled Storm Models are omitted from ERT calculations, and by default are not displayed on the Storm ERT dashboard. You can select Cancelled from the State filter to view cancelled Storm Models and Storm Events on the dashboard.
- Historic: The Historic state is only applicable to Storm Events, which you can use to define ARTs.
- Archived: A Storm Model is typically moved to an Archived state when restoration activities are completed. In an Archived state, you can see the ERT and ART for the storm and use it to help estimate and shape ERT curves in new Storm Models.
