View a Storm Model or Storm Event

To view an existing Storm Model or Storm Event, sign into Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights and click Explore, Storm and then ERT. Click the name of any individual Storm Model or Storm Event to view the following details and options:

  • A summary of the Storm Model or Storm Event (most of this information is defined when you create a new Storm Model or Storm Event) that includes:
    • State (Draft, Approved, Archived, Historic, or Cancelled)
    • Type (Model or Event)
    • Storm start date and time, and the storm cut-off date and time
    • Customers (Number of effected customers)
  • Options to Create an Estimated Restoration Timeline (ERT) and approve the Storm ERT Model.

Note: You can only create and approve ERTs for Storm Models.

  • A chart showing ERTs, if any were created, and the actual restoration timeline data, which you can display as a Burnup or Burndown chart. The actual restoration data is based on data from an outage management system that records when an outage was restored.

Note: Storm Events only give you the option to view the Actual Restoration Timeline (ART). You can view ERTs and ARTs in a Storm Model.

    • Customers Restored (Y-Axis): The number of customers who were restored after losing power during a storm.
    • Hours / Days (X-Axis): The hours or days it took to restore power.
    • Customers Off Supply (Y-Axis): The number of customers who were off supply due to an outage.
    • Hours / Days (X-Axis): The hours or days it took to restore customers back to supply.
  • Region drop-down menu that lets you choose an outage based on the global zone or specific sub-zones.
  • Right-side panel lets you display different layers of information on the chart. This includes the Burnup and Burndown chart views. In the Burnup chart view, a line will trend upward to represent the number of outages that have been restored over time. In the Burndown chart view, a line trends downward to represent the number of customers who are off supply and being restored. A bell curve appears to show how the initial number goes up and then back down due to restoration activities. The right-side panel also includes associated ERTs, (Storm Events will not include ERTs), Milestones, and Dates (Start of the Storm, Start of Restoration, and Storm Cut-Off).
