Initiating Calculations from an External System

Oracle Utilities Rate Cloud Service includes an inbound web service that allows rate calculation to be initiated from an external system.

The c1rateCalculation inbound web service is an inbound REST web service that can be used to request a rate calculation. Some specifics regarding this web service include:

• Master data (such as person, account, service agreement, service point, device, or usage) is not required.

• Service quantities and characteristic types/values must be included with the web service request.

• Calculation results are consistent with online rate calculation using the Rate Check feature.

• Calculation results are returned to the external system that submitted the request.

• Calculation results are not stored in Oracle Utilities Rate Cloud Service.
