Algorithm Entity
This portal is used to view information about a plug-in spot (algorithm entity). Refer to Algorithm Plug-in Spot for more information.
Navigate using .
Use the Algorithm Entity Query portal to search for an existing plug-in spot. Each plug-in spot is defined in the Algorithm Entity lookup (ALG_ENTITY_FLG). Once an algorithm entity is selected, you are brought to the viewing portal to view details about the algorithm entity.
The following zones appear on the Main page.

Algorithm Entity. This zone provides information about the plug-in spot, including
a link to view the Plug-in Spot API, also called the hard parameters for the plug-in spot.
In addition it displays the detailed description, which should provide information about the
algorithm's responsibility and when it is called. Note: This information is also available via a help icon on the algorithm type page and when defining a plug-in script, once you select the algorithm entity value.
- Algorithm Types. All existing algorithm types for the plug-in spot are listed. If there are algorithms, the count of algorithms are displayed. Clicking the count opens another zone.
- Algorithms. If you clicked the algorithm count for an algorithm type, another zone appears with information about the algorithms for that type.
