NDS Contains Interesting Data

The NDS record also contains interesting data

• The main use for this is to indicate the workflow process and event that created the NDS
• The process that extracts the data may then find the other data related to this NDS by looking at the workflow process context or characteristics

This interesting data may be stored in one of two ways

• Through NDS context collection. Use this method if your NDS is interfaced to the outside world using XAI. Refer to Designing Notification Download Types for more information.
• Through NDS characteristics collection. For NDS records that are interfaced through a batch process, it is expected that using characteristics is the preferred method because if your characteristic references a foreign key, your user can easily drill down to the related record.
