Events May Be Transferred

In some situations, you may want to transfer service credit events from one membership to another on the service credit event page. For example, if a member dies, you may decide to transfer earned service credits to the membership for a beneficiary. When transferring a service credit:

The target membership must be of the same membership type as the original membership.
The original service credit event is canceled and any event cancellation algorithms linked to the SC event type are executed.
A new service credit event is created and completed and any event completion algorithms linked to the SC event type are executed.
The new service credit event references the original event ID in the Transferred From event field.

Note:

Contributed to FTs linked to the original event are not transferred to the new event. If you have created by FTs linked to the original event, the recommendation is to ensure that an event cancellation algorithm cancels this FT and that an event completion algorithm for the new event creates an appropriate new FT for the new membership.
