How To Display A Bill On-line

There are multiple ways to display a bill. Each requires the use of the Installation Option — Online Bill Display plug-in spot.

• One method is to make a call to retrieve a bill image from an external source. Many bill print vendors support this method and support REST or web service calls to request the bill image, often in the PDF format. The system is delivered with an algorithm that can construct a URL to retrieve a bill image.

• Another method uses software to render the bill in a format suitable for displaying. You must configure the system to invoke this software; otherwise, you will get a message indicating that the service is not available. This option can only be configured by your technical staff. The system can be configured to work with different bill production software, and is delivered with an algorithm that can display a bill on-line using BI Publisher or a document composition application. With a document composition application, the bills are presented in PDF format.

To view a bill on-line, click the Display Bill button. For any method that present the bill as a PDF, you must have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader installed.
