Maintaining Design Elements

The Design Element portal is used to display and maintain a design element record.

You can access the portal from the Work Design portal when reviewing or adding a design element.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal's Main tab page:

  • Design Element: This zone displays general information as well as Location and Run details associated with the design element record.
  • Design Element — Work Design: This zone lists associated design elements and asset locations associated with the selected record.
  • Attachments: This zone enables users to manage all types of attachments for the design element record.
  • Notes: This zone displays any note information associated with the design element record.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal's Compatible Units tab page:

  • Design Element CU List: This zone lists the compatible units added to the design element.
  • Design Element— CU Assignment: This zone enables users to search for and then add compatible units to the design element.
  • Design Element— Contractor Bid: This zone lists contractor bids lined to the design element record.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal's Resources tab page:

  • Materials: This zone displays any resource materials associated with the design element record.
  • Labor and Equipment: This zone displays all labor, equipment, and overtime associated with the design element.
