Understanding Projects

This section describes various features of Project configuration:

  • Able to be organized into a hierarchical structure

  • Linked to many transactional records and cost centers in the system primarily for cost reporting purposes

  • Able to be configured to require approval processing

Key data components on a project include the following:

  • Estimated and actual start and end dates

  • Budgeted and actual amounts

  • Project supervisor
