Maintaining Digital Asset Service Tasks

The Service Task portal is used to display and maintain digital asset service tasks.

Refer to About Digital Asset Service Tasks for more information.

You can access the portal from Menu, then select Service Task. You are brought to a query portal with options for searching for a specific record. Once a service task has been selected, you are brought to the maintenance portal to view and maintain the selected record.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal's Main tab page:

  • Service Task: This zone displays general information about the service task.

  • DER Attributes: This lists Distributed Energy Resource (DER) device attributes captured for DER devices related to the service task. Applicable only for enrollment service tasks involving DER devices.

Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Device Service Tasks

The DER Device Management (X1-DERDeviceManagement) inbound web service is used to perform registration and/or enrollment of Distributed Energy Resource (DER) devices. This inbound web service includes the following operations:

  • Register DER Device (registerDERDevice): Used by an external application to register and enroll a DER device. This operation creates a DER asset and device, as well as an enrollment service task to enroll the device in a program specified in the inbound web service request, or if a program is not provided based on the specification defined for the asset. The enrollment service task is created in the "Pending" state. The service task should be processed either manually or via the Service Task Monitor (Deferred) (F1-STKDF) batch process.
  • DER Interconnection (interconnectDER): Used by an external application to send interconnection attributes of a DER asset from an external system that handles the interconnection process for the utility. The incoming data is validated against existing asset manufacturer and model combinations, leading to the creation of an interconnection service task to allow the initial creation of the DER asset. Enrollment for assets that require interconnection attributes must be performed separately via the Register DER Device operation. The interconnection service task is created in the "Pending" state. The service task should be processed either manually or via the Service Task Monitor (Deferred) (F1-STKDF) batch process.

The DER Registration Flag on the controllable asset type specifies whether registration of DER assets require both an interconnection request (using the DER Interconnection operation) and a DER registration request (using the Register DER Device operation), or just a DER registration request.
